Easy Cheesy Crockpot Chicken

You are going to want to have this recipe on repeat…..trust me. There are different variations out there, but here’s how I make it.

What you need:
3-4 frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 block of cream cheese
2 cups or so of grated cheese, I used Muenster
Seasonings to taste
How you make it:
cook on high in a crockpot for 4.5 hours

Place 3-4 pieces of boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a crockpot.

Take a block, or maybe even two, of cream cheese. I divided it up and put it on top of the chicken.

I grated 2 cups of cheese to put on top. I use Muenster but regular cheddar would be fine. Maybe even pepper jack? Mmmmm…..now I want to try it!

Season to taste. Here are the seasonings I used.

I cooked mine on high for about 4.5 hours. You can then shred this and serve it over rice, in tacos, or just on it’s own. It turned out really good and the leftovers heated up nicely as well.

Let me know if you try it. And tag Our Gray House on IG and FB!

Sweet Side Table

This cute side table was made using three metal paper towel holders from Dollar Tree and a round wood circle from Lowe’s. I got the idea from The Crafty Couple on YouTube and here’s the link to my version on my channel: Side Table Tutorial I love how you can create something chic and modern on a very modest budget.

HAPPY

I saw a similar sign at Hobby Lobby and knew that I could easily recreate it.

I took a piece of scrap wood and painted it white. While it was drying, I printed out a decal using my Cricut that said HAPPY. I also saw some that said HOME and really, you could use any word that you wanted.

After the white paint was dry, I applied the decal and then went over that with Waverly Wax in the color Antique. I removed the decal letters and that was it! Very easy to do.

DIY Sunflower Themed Tiered Tray

“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It’s what sunflowers do.” —Helen Keller⁣

My good friend Sarah from @jujubee_diy and I decided to do a 🌻 sunflower themed tiered tray decor collaboration for our YouTube channels. I think they all turned out cute but my favorite is the hello sign. I think it would look great if you made it into a door wreath. I did use my Cricut to create the vinyl decals but the rest of the supplies are primarily Dollar Tree so that makes it very budget friendly. 📺 Click HERE to watch the video.

Camping Themed Tier Tray

Sometimes you need to explore outside of your comfort zone. ⁣⁣

I am part of the Let’s Go Camping challenge this month and let me tell you, I was struggling for inspo! I saw several things at Hobby Lobby that got my creativity juices flowing and here is one of my projects. To see the rest of them, you can check out my latest YouTube video, https://youtu.be/WYIY326Uq2U and let me know what you think! ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Also, my idea of camping is a place that has 💨 air-conditioning, a mint on the pillow and a 🚿 hot shower.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezey

🍋 I had so much fun collaborating with hosts @SavvyCraftsWithSavannah and @TheCraftyQuinn along with some other awesome DIY YouTuber friends on this #FRUITYSUMMERPICNICCHALLENGE ⁣⁣

This tray was actually from an estate sale. The item did not sell and they were going to just toss it, but I said wait! I can make something out of it!   ⁣⁣

⁣⁣I painted the tray using Rustoleum Chalked Ultra Matte paint in the color Linen White. I added the vinyl that I had cut out using my new Cricut Explore Air 2 and wrapped the handles with jute twine. So easy to do! Check out my YouTube video for the rest of my DIY’s. https://youtu.be/5fNoKIBm_jU

Jute Rope Mini Planter

I made this cute little planter and filled it with fake lavender. One time I went to Trader Joe’s and bought an actual, real live lavender plant. I envisioned planting it in my yard and watching it grow. In realty, it did not take me long to kill it. I am not a good plant 🌿 momma so this artificial plant will have to do. 🤷🏽‍♀️⁣

Cozy like Captain

Raise your hand if you want to be lounging on your bed like Captain? 🙋🏻‍♀️ As a realtor, my weeks and my weekends can get filled with showing 🏠 houses, meeting clients, and prepping 👩🏻‍💻 for the next week.

We all are so “busy” being busy but are we really accomplishing the things we want to?  Are the things that are taking our time, day in and day out, furthering our goals?

And then there’s the balance piece.  Because I usually have a pretty full schedule, when I get home I want to be just like Captain and put on comfy clothes, catch up on Netflix and just relax.

I time block on my calendar so that I can do my best to give all the things that I have going on their proper attention.  But I want to hear from you.  How do you get all the things done AND have balance?   Let’s chat in the comments below⬇️

Avocado Toast

See this? It’s avocado toast. It’s what we had for dinner the other night.

IMG_2250

It’s just since last year that I ever even tried avocado toast and now I am hooked.  While you certainly can jazz it up a ton and get super creative my recipe is easy.

You just need some bread of your choice and an avocado that is ripe.  So many thoughts on what kind of bread is best and how ripe the avocado should be.  I’ll leave that up to your discretion.

I toasted four slices of sandwich bread and then sliced an avocado in half.  Half went on my two slices and the other half went on Marvin’s two slices.

Not sure if you noticed or not, but we also sprinkled Trader Joes “Everything But The Bagel” seasoning on it. Basically, at this point, we are pretty much a trendy couple now. Like Instagram couple goals. If you need any tips, let me know. 😂
